This is great stuff Sam! You know I'm 100% on board with your message. Too many people feel hopeless. They feel they have no agency in our world of antiquated institutions and algorithms. That couldn't be further from the truth!
We can rebuild and change the future of our society for the better, even if it's at the smallest level. That smallest level for most people is the self. I like how you frame it as now a selfish act, but one rooted in the eventual care and resurrection of the greater.
If one's personal garden is blooming, the adjacent plot has a higher chance of sprouting life, then on and on it goes.
